Near Fall into Tank
BP - August 4, 2009
On the Uptegroove GC 1A well site a 21 bbl tank was being prepared to be cleaned. The tank had a two piece expanded metal top. A roustabout crew had just finished removing the bolts holding the expanded metal top on to give access to a vacuum truck to clean out 3" of mud in the bottom. A laborer on the roustabout crew placed his left foot on the expanded metal and his right foot on the cellar board.
